Floating Crease Challenge (Here are our winners)

The floating crease is the star of the season, and because we love everything related to makeup, we couldn’t miss the chance to present it on our Blog. We find this new cut crease variation interesting, and we want to encourage makeup artists and makeup enthusiasts to use their creativity and explore as many makeup techniques as possible because its education that helps us grow.

We love the cut crease trend as muck as everyone else, but we love more the floating crease because it’s new, unique and minimalistic, and 2020 it’s all about simplicity. Our last article The graphic eyeliner or the floating crease – the latest Instagram trend everyone is so crazy about presented the floating crease variation Katie Jane Hughes promotes.

Katie Jane Hughes it’s not only one of the most recognisable Instagram makeup artists, but she is also the makeup guru, celebrities like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley call when they have a red carpet event. Here Katie demonstrates how she creates a Snapchat filter makeup look for Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. We love Katie because she encourages makeup artists and beauty enthusiasts to get rid of Instagram filters and let the world see the true face of the makeup world.

And this is why we challenged the makeup enthusiasts from the professional group Only M.U.A to recreate makeups inspired by our last post.

Before we present the winners (ta da da da), we want to thank everyone for their interest in our post. Every makeup was a true inspiration, and if some didn’t make in our bellow list, it was only because they didn’t 100% meet the main characteristics of the trend.

The floating crease, as shown in the previous post (and photos), it’s simple and sharp. The lines are twiggy, placed somewhere between the lash line and brow, accompanied by a simple or minimalistic makeup. This style is bold itself, so it needs no other addition to draw attention.

Basically, you need only a nude base and a sharp liner.

And as we stated before, you impressed us with your reinterpretations of the trend, and we want to encourage you to improve your skills and use your imagination to recreate (and who knows maybe even start) trends.

We also picked extra 5 photos of exquisite makeups that don’t match 100% the floating crease trend, but are wonderfully executed. We just recommend you the next time around to pay extra attention to the instructions and examples we provide because each trend is unique.
